Biographical SketchBorn in Lithuania ca. 1864, Bernard Louis Levinthal came to the U.S. in 1891, settling in Philadelphia. Levinthal was a founder and officer of the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada and was a founder of other Orthodox Jewish organizations. Levinthal died in 1952.
