Biographical SketchSamuel Lawrence Finn was born on 3 June 1890 and grew up in Dayton, Ohio. He was an attorney in the firm Estabrook, Finn and McKee as well as a director of the Dayton Power and Light Company, director of the Dayton Boys Club, and director of the American Council for Judaism Philanthropic Fund. Both Finn and his wife were active in civic groups including the Civic Representatives Committee, Community Chest Association, the Dayton Foundation, and the Dayton Art Institute. Finn married Lillian R. Evans on 15 September 1917 and had two children, Chester and Celeste.
