CORRESPONDENCE
From Solomon H. Sonneschein To I.M. Wise, September 4, 1884 |
Rough transcription
Sept. 4th 4 Rev. Dr. I.M. Wise, Cinti. My dear friend and Colleague! Brother Kohler writes me, that he suggested to you the idea of arranging a sort of a Conference in Pittsburgh, for the purpose of considering the Sabbath School question and a few similarly urgent and practical issues of the day.I am heavily in favor of such a meeting to take place not before November and not more east than Pittsburgh or Rochester. Would you be willing to lend your Editorial aid to a call issued by me and Voorsanger as the de jure Executive Officers of the Embryonic [illegible] Union? This, according to my opinion, could be made the safest route for efficient action in the pr[illegible]. Looking for a speedy and favorable answer I am yours truly S.H. Sonneschein |
