CORRESPONDENCE

From Solomon H. Sonneschein To I.M. Wise, November 8, 1885

Rough transcription

Nov. 8, 1885 Rabbi Dr. Wise, Cincinnati, O. My dear friend, I dictate these lines to my daughter, [illegible]. My arm is unwieldy yet. I shall for [illegible] be in Pittsburg. Three things ought to be accomplished there. 1. A united aggressive Reform policy; 2. A systematic well-digested plan as to the revision of the Eng. Bible; 3. A declaration of principles as to what American Judaism means. I hope we will succeed. [German] S.H. Sonneschein
