The NFTS
Founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1913, through the amalgamation of various synagogue based organizations, such as the Ladies Hebrew Aid Society of Baton Rogue, LA, the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods (NFTS), grew into a national organization that represents over 100,000 women in 600 local Sisterhoods throughout the U.S., Canada, and other countries. It is the women's agency of the Union for Reform Judaism, the central body of Reform Judaism in North America.
