Albert Einstein-Immigrant Scientist
Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was considered by many to be the greatest scientist of the twentieth century. He emigrated permanently to the U.S. after Hitler's assumption of power in Germany and was actively involved in Jewish life. A supporter of the Zionist movement, as well as the Jewish National Fund, Einstein was also involved in the founding of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
