Advertisement Against Torah and Local Rabbi

Local Rabbi Unwillingly Used in Antisemitic Ad

The Salivators, a rock band from Delaware, used this advertisement featuring Rabbi Robert Barr of Cincinnati to spread the word about their upcoming concert at a local restaurant. They posted it throughout Cincinnati, without permission to use Barr's picture. In the poster, he held a Torah scroll that was desecrated by insulting captions. Upon hearing of these posters, the board of Rabbi Barr's congregation, Beth Adam, requested that the Salivators remove all of the posters immediately and apologize directly to the Rabbi whose reputation they had tarnished. The band followed the demands of the congregation.
