Genealogy Research: First American Jewish Families |

Acknowledgments | First American Jewish Families
The Jacob
Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives would
like to express its profound gratitude to Mr. Rand and Mrs.
Beth Curtiss for endorsing this project. It is no exaggeration
to say that without their assistance, this effort would not
have been possible.
We would also like to thank Mrs. Louise Stern,
Dr. Malcolm Stern's widow, who worked alongside him to create
First American Jewish Families, a Jewish genealogical
classic. She has been entirely supportive of our efforts to
make her husband's work available to a larger, world-wide
public and to new generation of researchers. We are always
deeply grateful for her support.
Thanks go to Mr. Allan Hirsh for his generous
donation of 100 copies of First American Jewish Families
and for allowing us to reproduce digitally the third edition
of this book which his publishing company, Ottenheimer Publishing,
produced in 1991.
Finally, the AJA would like to extend a word
of thanks to Ms. Karen Franklin for her continuous support
of all our genealogical endeavors.
